Our Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the benchmark referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice in its guidance on web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act. In practice that means, among other things: every page has a single main heading and a logical heading order, all images that carry meaning have text alternatives, all controls can be reached and operated with a keyboard, text and background colors meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, the site respects your operating system's reduced-motion setting, forms label their fields and announce their errors, and every page begins with a "Skip to main content" link.

How We Test

• Automated checks on every release. Our test suite runs the axe-core accessibility engine, inside a real Chromium browser through Playwright, against eleven representative template pages (the homepage, contact, booking, a calculator, an article, an editorial article, a location page, a state page, a legacy service subpage, a resources category hub and the disclosures index), each scanned in both the light and the dark display mode, with the WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 A and AA rule sets. Any violation axe rates serious or critical fails the release.
• Periodic site-wide scans. Beyond the template pages, we run the same engine across the whole site from time to time and work through what it finds; the most recent full scan was in September 2026.
• Manual checks. Keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader spot checks and reduced-motion review accompany changes to shared components such as the header, footer, cookie banner, forms and the chat widget.

Automated tools catch only part of the picture, so we treat a clean scan as a floor, not a finish line.

Known Limitations

We would rather tell you what still falls short than pretend it is perfect. As of the date above:

• Third-party embeds. The map on the contact page is an embedded Google Maps frame, and blog comments are provided by Disqus. We do not control the accessibility of those tools. The location the map shows (Las Vegas, Nevada) and the contact details beside it are also given in plain text on the same page, and Sasson can be reached without using the map or the comments.
• Older article pages. Some articles were published before our current templates and testing were in place. They are being brought up to the same standard as the template pages; until then, an individual older article may have imperfect heading order or contrast in places.
• Interactive games. The Fun Zone games are visual, timed and interactive by nature, and not every game is fully playable by keyboard or screen reader. They are optional entertainment; every piece of educational content they draw on is available as ordinary text elsewhere on the site.
• Documents. Our content is published as HTML pages, not PDFs, so it can be read with any assistive technology. If you ever encounter a document on this site that your tools cannot read, ask us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.

Technical Notes

This site is built with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, with common screen readers, and with browser zoom up to 200%. Page content remains readable when JavaScript is disabled, but the shared header and footer navigation, the cookie banner, the calculators and the chat widget are rendered by JavaScript and need it enabled. The site honors the operating-system preferences for reduced motion and, where offered, dark mode.

Changes to This Statement

We update this statement when our testing, known limitations or contact details change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
