AskSasson.com — Last updated: June 4, 2026
This page contains Florida-specific insurance and privacy disclosures applicable to residents of Florida who interact with AskSasson.com or Sasson Emambakhsh as a licensed Florida insurance producer.
Florida Producer License
Sasson Emambakhsh is licensed as a non-resident insurance producer in the State of Florida under License #G322852. This license authorizes the discussion and placement of life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and fixed annuity products for Florida residents.
You may verify this license at any time through the Florida Department of Financial Services MyProfile lookup or by contacting DFS directly (contact information below).
Florida Insurance Code — Chapter 626 F.S.
Florida Statutes Chapter 626 governs the conduct of insurance agents, solicitors, and other licensees. Under Chapter 626, licensees are prohibited from:
- Making any false or misleading statements regarding the terms, benefits, dividends, or financial condition of any insurer (§626.9541)
- Misrepresenting the true nature or title of any policy form
- Making comparisons that are inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
- Twisting — persuading a policyholder to lapse, surrender, or convert an existing policy through misrepresentation or incomplete disclosure
- Churning — excessive replacement transactions primarily benefiting the producer rather than the consumer
Sasson Emambakhsh is fully committed to compliance with Chapter 626 and all applicable Florida insurance regulations in every interaction with Florida consumers.
Liability Insurance Disclosure — §627.4137 F.S.
Florida Statute §627.4137 requires liability insurers to disclose specific policy information under oath within 30 days of a written request by a claimant. Required disclosure includes: insurer name and address, insured's name and address, policy limits applicable to the claim, and any known coverage defenses or policy defenses the insurer intends to assert. This is an insurer-level statutory obligation. If you are a Florida claimant and believe this disclosure has been withheld, you may contact the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Producer Commission Disclosure — §626.593 F.S.
Florida Statute §626.593 governs producer compensation transparency. Specifically:
- If Sasson Emambakhsh receives any fee from you other than a commission deducted from the premium, the amount of that fee must be explicitly disclosed to you
- Any such fee arrangement must be memorialized in a written contract signed by the party being charged
In the standard course of insurance placement, Sasson Emambakhsh is compensated by commission from the insurer — not by direct fees charged to the client. If that arrangement ever differs, you will receive a written disclosure and signed agreement as required by §626.593.
Controlling Producer Disclosure — §626.7491 F.S.
Florida Statute §626.7491 applies when a property and casualty insurer is controlled by an insurance producer. In such circumstances, the producer must deliver a signed written notice to the prospective insured describing the relationship prior to the policy effective date. Sasson Emambakhsh does not control any insurer; this disclosure is provided for completeness and transparency.
Application Disclosure — §627.4085 F.S.
Florida Statute §627.4085 requires that insurance applications prominently display the name of the insuring entity on the first page of the application, along with the agent's name and license number. All applications processed through Sasson Emambakhsh will comply with this requirement. His Florida license number is #G322852.
Claim Acknowledgment — §627.70131 F.S.
Florida Statute §627.70131 requires that upon receiving any communication from a claimant regarding a claim, an insurer must review and acknowledge receipt within 7 calendar days (unless the insurer makes payment within that timeframe). This is an insurer obligation. If an insurer fails to acknowledge your claim within 7 days, you may contact the Florida Department of Financial Services to file a complaint.
Unfair Insurance Trade Practices — §626.9541 F.S.
Florida Statute §626.9541 prohibits unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the business of insurance, including misrepresentation, false advertising, defamation, boycott, coercion, intimidation, and unfair discrimination. Any consumer who believes they have been subjected to an unfair trade practice has the right to file a complaint with the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Replacement of Life Insurance — Form OIR-B1-1750
When a life insurance policy or annuity contract is being replaced in Florida, the producer is required to comply with Florida Administrative Code Rule 69B-150, which includes:
- Providing the applicant with a completed Notice Regarding Replacement of Life Insurance (Form OIR-B1-1750) before the application is signed
- Retaining a signed copy of Form OIR-B1-1750 as required by Florida recordkeeping rules
- Comparing the existing and proposed coverage in writing so the consumer can make an informed decision
- Notifying the existing insurer of the replacement as required by Florida law
Do not lapse or surrender any existing life insurance policy or annuity until you have received the replacement policy and confirmed it is in force. Review all replacement documentation carefully, including any surrender charges, new contestability periods, and changes to benefits.
Annuity Suitability and Replacement Disclosures
Florida has adopted annuity suitability rules under Florida Administrative Code Chapter 69B-162. When replacing or exchanging an annuity in Florida, additional disclosures are required beyond generic replacement notices:
- Surrender charges: You must be explicitly disclosed any surrender charges on the existing annuity that will be triggered by the replacement
- Lost guarantees: You must be informed of any guaranteed benefits, rates, or features in the existing contract that will be forfeited upon replacement
- Tax consequences: The tax consequences of exchanging or surrendering an annuity must be disclosed, including any potential taxable events
- Objective comparison: A written comparison using state-mandated forms must be provided
- Suitability questionnaire: Florida uses Annuity Suitability Questionnaires that differ from the NAIC baseline; these must be completed for Florida transactions
Under Florida Administrative Code Chapter 69B-162, any annuity recommendation will be based on a reasonable assessment of your individual financial situation, objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, and liquidity needs. You will never be pressured into a transaction that is not in your best interest.
Florida Free-Look Period
Florida law requires a free-look period of at least 14 days (and in some cases 30 days for annuities) from the date of policy delivery. During this period, you may return the policy for a full refund of any premiums paid. If you have questions about the free-look period applicable to a specific product, contact Sasson Emambakhsh or the issuing carrier directly.
Florida Privacy Protections
Florida residents are protected under both federal privacy law (GLBA, TCPA) and Florida-specific statutes. Florida Statute §501.171 (Florida Information Protection Act) requires entities handling personal information to implement reasonable measures to protect that data and to notify affected individuals in the event of a data breach within 30 days.
AskSasson.com complies with Florida's data breach notification requirements. In the event of a breach affecting your personal information, you will be notified as required by Florida law.
Florida consumers may also have rights under Florida's Digital Bill of Rights (§501.702 F.S.) depending on the data controller's size and activities. As a small independent practice, we do not process data at the threshold that triggers FDBR obligations; however, we honor equivalent access, correction, and deletion rights upon request.
